Competitors Fee Clears Tata’s Acquisition of Air India, Two Subsidiaries

Competitors Fee has permitted Tata Group’s proposed acquisition of Air India, Air India Categorical and AISATS. Talace Pvt Ltd, a part of Tata Group, is to amass 100 per cent stakes in Air India, Air India Categorical and 50 per cent shareholding in Air India SATS Airport Companies Pvt Ltd (AISATS). In keeping with an official launch on Monday, Competitors Fee of India (CCI) has given its nod for the deal.

In October, Talace Pvt Ltd emerged because the profitable bidder for Air India with a bid price Rs 18,000 crore. It should pay Rs 2,700 crore money and take over Rs 15,300 crore of the airline’s debt.
