NEW DELHI: Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday at its headquarters in central Delhi in a case linked to the 2016 ‘Panama Papers’ case. She is going through cash laundering allegations for her involvement in an offshore entity/belief.

Sources stated Aishwarya Rai is likely one of the administrators of an entity/belief which is being probed for alleged cash laundering of tax evaded earnings. Her mom and different members of the family are additionally prone to be questioned in the identical case for his or her involvement with the entity.

Her husband Abhishek Bachchan and father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan are already going through investigations in separate instances being probed by ED underneath the International Trade Administration Act (Fema) and the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
