The federal government proposes to have a national retail trade policy for making a conducive setting to streamline the expansion of all codecs of such commerce, and stakeholder consultations are being held for that, Parliament was knowledgeable on Friday. Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Som Parkash in a written reply to a question within the Rajya Sabha stated a conducive setting may be created by simplifying guidelines and rules.

“The federal government proposes to have a nationwide retail commerce coverage for making a conducive setting for streamlining progress of all codecs of retail commerce, together with by simplifying guidelines and rules.

Stakeholder consultations are being held,” he stated.

Replying to a separate query, Commerce and Trade Minister Piyush Goyal stated that the Centre has permitted the inclusion of the Hyderabad Bengaluru Industrial Hall (HBIC) underneath the Industrial Corridor Programme in response to a request from Andhra Pradesh.

“The Authorities of India has additionally permitted the event of Orvakal node underneath the Hyderabad-Bengaluru Industrial Hall.

“Marketing consultant has been appointed for venture improvement exercise together with preparation of detailed grasp plan and preliminary engineering of Orvakal node,” he stated.
