Rahul Gandhi pays tributes to Ambedkar, says he gave India its strongest pillar of energy


Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Thursday paid tributes to B R Ambedkar on his beginning anniversary and stated he gave India its strongest pillar of energy – the Constitution.

A key architect of India’s Structure, Ambedkar is thought to be an icon, particularly by Dalits, for his relentless work for social reforms and empowerment of the deprived sections of society.

“On the event of his 131st beginning anniversary, my tributes to Babasaheb Dr BR Ambedkar, who gave India its strongest pillar of energy – our sacred Structure,” Gandhi stated in a tweet.

On its official Twitter deal with, the Congress stated Babasaheb Ambedkar stays a champion of equality, human rights and social justice.

“His life and actions have been a supply of inspiration for crores all around the world. On his beginning anniversary, we rejoice the legacy of the person who gave India her Structure,” the social gathering stated.

Ambedkar was born in 1891 and was India’s first legislation minister. He was given Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honour, in 1990.
