NEW DELHI: An Assam court docket on Monday granted bail to Gujarat MLA Jignesh Mevani in a case over a purported tweet towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Mevani, an impartial legislator supported by Congress, was arrested by Assam police final week for a purported tweet through which he claimed Prime Minister Narendra Modi “thought of Godse as God”.
