UP polls 2022: Raja Bhaiya, 17 others booked for assaulting SP polling agent


UP Meeting Elections 2022: A case has been registered towards Impartial candidate and former Uttar Pradesh minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh, alias Raja Bhaiya, and 17 others on the costs of assaulting a polling agent of the Samajwadi Party, a police officer stated on Monday. The case was registered at Kunda police station underneath numerous sections of the IPC and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

Superintendent of Police Satpal Antil stated, “On the voting day (on February 27), Rakesh Kumar Pasi, a polling agent of Samajwadi Social gathering candidate Gulshan Yadav…complained that Tinku Singh, a polling agent of the Jansatta Dal Loktantrik, phoned him and informed him to depart the sales space (in Raiyyapur), in any other case sales space capturing couldn’t be accomplished.”

Thereafter, Jansatta Dal Loktantrik chief Raghuraj Pratap Singh, Subhash Singh and Gopal Kesarwani reached the polling sales space together with their supporters and took away Pasi in a car and beat him up, the police officer stated.

Pasi suffered accidents in his head.

Performing on a criticism, the police registered the case towards 18 folks, together with Raghuraj Pratap Singh, and the matter is being probed, the officer stated.

Raghuraj Pratap Singh contested as an Impartial from the Kunda meeting constituency which voted within the fifth section on Sunday.
